I have no intention of voting for a guy who sees the condition of gas station rest rooms as being significant enough to deserve mention in his goddam mission statement.

And using enormous print to endorse him doesn't elicit any special consideration for him, either.

I met Ms. Calvert. She is very nice, and told me about her platform: Turn Cobo green, and create [[conservatively) 150,000 jobs. Wow! That would add what, 50% more jobs to the city? ...and all in ONE building! What other candidate is offering that? Plus, she's Joel Loving's mom, so, you know...

Here are the actual percentages of respondants who said they'd "vote for the candidate":

    • Charles Pugh, 65.6 percent
    • Kenneth Cockrel Jr., 57.8 percent
    • Gary Brown, 47.4 percent
    • Kwame Kenyatta, 44.6 percent
    • Jai-Lee Dearing, 41.2 percent
    • James Tate, 37.5 percent
    • Brenda Jones, 36.5 percent
    • John Bennett, 36.6 percent
    • Alberta Tinsley-Talabi, 29.4 percent
    • JoAnn Watson, 28.3 percent
    • Saunteel Jenkins, 26.9 percent
    • Andre Spivey, 27.2 percent
    • Ray Murphy, 23.9 percent
    • Otis Mathis, 23.4 percent
    • Annivory Calvert, 21.6 percent
    • Derrick Hale, 22.5 percent
    • Mikal Crawford, 20.3 percent
    • Barbara-Rose Collins, 18 percent
    • Martha Reeves, 15.6 percent
    • Monica Conyers, 13.2 percent

Notice the three who round out the bottom. Grebner says that even Tinsley-Talabi isn't a shoe-in for re-election.

Anyone else notice that http://martharosereeves.com/, the website for Ms. Reeves is, as of July 24th, all written in some sort of faux-latin? Also, the "latest images" link on the bottom right of the page links to an East Asian photo stream.
