    Folks talk about the Weeping Woman of Indian Village. I know nothing about that, but...[[anecdote coming-and this one will catch in your throat) after the old punk rock house on W. Alexandrine burned down-which claimed the lives one mother cat's kittens, the guys there moved to Indian Village. The surviving mother cat developed a habit of taking loose socks from people's rooms, carrying them in her mouth like a kitten, depositing them there at the foot of the staircase, and letting out a series of mournful yowls while looking up-as if to say "Take this instead. Take this instead. Just bring my babies back."
    You may cry now...
