    A new HQ would necessarily NOT be in NYC... but could be in Michigan. Marchionne has put down roots in SE Michigan, so the HQ could be here.

    As for a downtown versus Suburban site... several folks familiar with the Chrysler HQ site have already stated that it is full. I tend to believe them over armchair speculation.

    As for that Pontiac site... does the word UGLY sound familiar?? That is a hiddeous building that has an unflattering resemblence to an oversized Best Buy Store...

    As for where they would go for an HQ site... I agree that downtown Detroit is a strong possiblity. I cannot for the life of me understand why they would pick a suburban site that is much less desireable than their Auburn Hills location. And if Auburn Hills is full, then a downtown site may be in the offing... IF they do decide to move.
