Our two would be mass killers were to blow up a train over a bridge crossing Niagara river.

One of the presumed terrorist plotters who lived in Montreal was a student at [[INRS) Institut National de Recherche Scientifique at the doctoral level. He was an engineer in Nanomaterials technology, microscopic sensors. On his linked'in page is a resume of his studies. Still dont know what the other guy did for a living in Toronto. Anyways, the guy in Montreal was arrested in a McDonalds restaurant. So much for resisting western imperialist culture...

Chis Matthews is now saying that it doesn't matter what the bombers' motives were. His guest retorted that motives would be important if others are involved and cited the VIA rail arrests.

"MATTHEWS: Why is that important? Why is that important to -- is that important to prosecuting? I mean, what difference does it make why they did it if they did it? "

Maybe Chris Matthews has joined the effort to portray this as another "lone wolf" attack like those of Nadal Hasan, Faizal Shahzad, the shoe bomber, or Detroit's own underwear bomber. After all, what could lone wolves possibly have in common and we don't want to mess up the chances of the amnesty bill passing. There should be another category for duo lone wolves; especially if they hang out with terrorists in Dagastan for six months and the FBI is looking for 12 members of an associated terrorost ring.

Canuck, Kudos for Canadian policing but none for Canadian immigration policy in this case.

Will knowing why help prevent another attack? I seriously doubt it. Motivation is, perhaps, the least valuable variable. Monitoring visits to hotbeds of radicalism would be far more important. understanding the social networks involved even more valuable.

What will knowing the why get you unless you change the issues involved? Will knowing it was for our continued support of Israel help if we don't stop supporting Israel? or if it is because of not hating homosexuals?

To answer your question, not necessarily but we could improve our odds. Thomas Sowell addresses this toward the top of this copy written article: http://www.creators.com/print/conser...n-gambles.html and a bit more in a follow up article: http://www.creators.com/print/conser...s-part-ii.html

Not relate to your question but the Daily Mail is ahead of the curve again with photos of the shoot out that left Tamerian dead. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ut-police.html

Typical - you go for a guy who says all the crap you believe - with absolutely NOTHING cited to support his BS, even though 90% of it has been thoroughly debunked, such as

"There are profitable organized programs to bring in affluent pregnant women from overseas to live in little communities set up for them before and after the birth of their anchor babies."

As is typical of his work, he takes anecdotal stories in place of actual research [[which is why his CV is rather sparse on peer-reviewed papers)

While you are stewing in "crap" and "BS", perhaps you could Google "maternity tourism" to discover that Mr. Sowell was correct. CBS, NPR, ABC, LATimes; Take your pick

In reference to your quote: "Maternity Tourism": How Chinese couples buy U.S. citizenship for their babies

"there's no doubt access to a free U.S. public school education, and reduced college costs that come with being an American citizen, are worth the investment. Children who go back to China with their parents can later return to live with relatives already in America, establishing residency and taking advantage of state-supported schools." http://www.npr.org/2010/11/22/131513165/born-in-the-u-s-a-some-chinese-plan-it-that-way

What's an American citizenship worth in dollars? Public schools spend maybe $10,000/year per student. In-state college tuition is subsidized by that much per student. The indigent can obtain some free medical care. A US citizen can also bring their folks into the States when they get old. I'm guessing that we could sell a lot of citizenships for between $100,000 to $200,000 although the gang of eight is willing to fence pathways to citizenship for $500 in "penalties". What a joke. People who come into this country through the front door have to pay thousands of dollars in fees.

A higher percentage of people who come here as tourists and declare themselves "refugees, like the Tsarnaevs, are being accepted as citizens than ever. I wonder why they went back to where they came from since they claimed to be refugees. Maybe because Mama Tsarnaev is a shoplifter? Their kids probably had better educational and employment opportunities here. The Tsarnaevs had a good plan, like cowbirds, who lay their eggs in other birds' nests to get them fed.

Tamerlan Tsarrnaev and his parents got Mass. welfare benefits

Looks like the older brother also had a Public Defender for a case of beating up an old girlfriend. According to reports, he was angry with her for not showing enough respect.

If it were up to these shits, all women would be under some kind of tarp. They wouldnt see the light of day because in their diseased way of interpreting nature and the world, that is how it should be. Simply stated, that Tamerlan guy deserved a lot more bullets than he got. If he didnt like the fact that women are not their possessions, their slaves, why didnt he quit and get welfare and all the goodies in a place like Saudi Arabia would give him, or any one of the muslim republics. The reason is of course it is a lot better in the US.
But he and his brother had to destroy the lives of many, that is how they paid back their host country. Fuck them.
