Verdict in... Kwame Kilpatrick, Bobby Ferguson GUILTY

The Sodom and Gomorrah story includes an episode of a gang surrounding the home of the last good man in town, who happened to be hosting a few traveling strangers for the night. Who happened to be the angels sent by the Lord to judge the towns, and level them if found wanting for anyone worthy of saving. The last good man supposedly offered his own daughters to the gang instead...quite gallant for the time, I guess.

And if you read on that "last good man", Lot, left Sodom and Gomorrah as God rained fire and brimstone down on the cities destroying all therein. Lot's daughters, despairing of ever finding a husband and having children...

He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let’s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.”

People seem upset. Really though. If you're a suburbanite or live elsewhere this really doesn't involve you. If Kwame raped and pillaged at the levels they have described he hastened the decline of Detroit but it was already diminishing. He didn't start that slide. Would it be considered cruel and unusual punishment to lock him up at the zoo instead? Give his haters the opportunity to visit and talk to him, let them buy buckets of spoiled vegetables and fruit to throw at Kwame if they see fit. Apply this income to his restitution.
Really tho. Its time for Carlita to get a job. Let her pay off some of that restitution. They are married after all. She enjoyed the spoils of Kwames ill gotten gains. Almost the same DAY that Kwame gets the hammer the Michigan governor's office leaks the name of the city's Emergency Manager ... the officially approved version ... 'Kwame 2.0'.

Instead of a few thousand in cash in envelopes the amount in play is $14 billion ... plus fees of course. It's expensive to be a banker, particularly living in the New York City metro area. One must keep up with the Joneses. Mega-yachts, Long Island mansions and private 737s are ... pricey!

Instead of creepy real estate developers and hoodlum-connected contractors, the counterparties to the Kwame 2.0 deal will be our old friends J. P. Morgan-Chase, Citigroup and Goldman-Sachs. The deal won't be cut in a barber chair, it will take place in some lawyers' offices on K Street in downtown Washington, DC ... and in the Treasury building.

Take away Kwame and substitute Obama, who has to sign off on the project. The funds will flow from the Treasury [[which will borrow them from the same banks listed above), BACK to the bankers by way of some sort of 'resolution agency' [[Chrysler Corp.? Why not?), with the old Detroit bonds taken by the Treasury then sold [[by way of Goldman-Sachs, Citi and J. P. Morgan-Chase) to vulture capitalists @ 3 cents on the dollar. These knee-breakers will do the heavy wringing of Detroiters first, then they'll turn their attention toward the citizens of Michigan, second.

After all, the $14 billion is a debt, a sacred obligation, these must be repaid or else, how can any more loans possibly be forthcoming? Without new loans, there is no progress, no development, no future, no sales in new stores!

Kwame will get five years, the bankers' clients [[lenders) will get a $14+ billion bailout. None of the bankers will go to jail even though they have done exactly the same thing as Kilpatrick. All of them should be fed into woodchippers instead ... feet first.

Interesting, other then the VC's are already funded and running by the state which is protected territory .

A large percentage of the bond holders are everyday people that bought them as a investment and not the VC's .

There is no way Mr. Snyder planed the announcement to happen the same day as KK's due justice unless he was on the jury and if that was the case then the banks are the least of the worries.

Other then that , yea okay.

We're having an open discussion about politicians and bankers. Sure, the bankers got off light. And too many corrupt politicians have been getting off light too. We fixed on issue. Let's work to fix the other.
