Well, just to play Devil's Advocate here, did you even read the article? The "benefit" to Detroit would be the $1 Billion sale price.

For $1 billion? Not even 1/3 of the annual CoD budget? And all we get is this [maybe?] Ann Rand amusement park on our border? Is this the modern version of selling Manhattan for $24 worth of trinkets to the Dutch?

You just can't make this **** up. I so am disappointed with the lack of ambition in this fantasy. Why don't we get a 300 story world's largest skyscraper or even a climate control bubble dome? What tiny boring visions these dreamers have. It looks like they plopped Troy onto Belle Isle.
