Why does Bing keep announcing things he doesn't have authority to implement?

"At least he's not shady" wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement, it's just pointing out that at least we won't see him in prison like Kwame was, or under constant federal investigation like Coleman Young was.

My point was that even that less than ringing endorsement isn't true. He's certainly shady.

so who all from city council is even running again? I remember that technically two of the seats are "city wide" now, even with the 7 district seats.. not sure why two city-wide seats were reserved, but anyway...

Gosh - WHAT are you two going to do when Bing's gone? Your entire reason to exist [[at least on these pages) is to denigrate and insult him.
What is your purpose in this constant spewing of vitriol? I feel like you have some sort of community agenda here, or some assignment.

He's had a pretty hard job. Possibly he wasn't up to it. He seemed to have the opinion that he had to pull talent from the experienced bureaucrats because he didn't have time to get/train new people, or because they had clamoring friends demanding jobs for them [[like karen Dumas).
I didn't vote for him - but I can see that he's conducted himself honorably - and that more than can be said for a lot of people.
All this insult is getting old- especially the vulgar charactorizations.
