    DPS does have its own police dept. They are authorized and trained to carry weapons, just like DPD. They can only police the schools, though, and have no jurisdiction outside of a school capacity. They can't make arrests of general citizens.

    I've never seen any new police cars, though. The cars that have been around my school have been pretty beat up.

    They are in Hamtramck all the time. Apparently getting lunch in Hamtown is OK. There is also a lot off of I-75 with lots of new patrol cars sitting in it.

    Oops, I was wrong. It's county employees from Kym Worthy's office. I was worried they were just in there sucking down cocktails and looking at boobies, but I guess I was wrong. The piece of paper on the passenger side window said, "On official business."
