Was this your scientific survey or just a wild guess?

What Batts doesn't realize is that working at Walmart is the last job they'll ever have. Walmart has destroyed the mom & pop retailers, and in many places in this country, Walmart is the only game in town. Where do these "upwardly mobile" employees go then?

Their skills are not needed in many other places. Stock boys, clerks, and cleanup crews are a dime a dozen.

Continue promoting the individual until a level of incompetency is attained. So many of these type of effective, adaptive corporate strategies are quietly ingrained. These are not without impetus. General consensus ignores, or is blissfully [[and purposely) unaware. Too difficult to figure out better alternatives. Besides, they are just sheeple anyway.

It is what it is. Make it work for you - it is the American way.

Influences make this palatable. B school homogenizes it. What an engine!

Sigh....hard work, deferring gratification, ambition, and striving to be the best always leads to success.

Tush Officials: Where are they now?

Apparently crawled back into their spiderholes.

Dick Cheney hides behind his creepy daughter, Lizard, when he couldn't get enough of the spotlight a few weeks back. Hmmmm. Guess he's trying to get out in front of even more bad news coming down. Evil deeds will haunt this man to his grave, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.

The opposite of your intended point is made...He [[Cheney) has no need [[or desire) for further attention. Only the good of the country is motivating him to do what he does now.

Sounds like a soundbite from Nazi Germany in the thirties to explain an official dropping from sight.

You are, of course, free to try your hand in a different economic system that has a lower top marginal tax rate. Please let us know how that works out for you.

Those who benefit disproportionately from our capitalist economic system and stable government should be required to disproportionately fund its continuity. A place amongst the top 1% of income earners in the nation is quite the opposite of slavery.

Am I? Perhaps so, if they have an immigration policy that allows it, and IF they exist.

Much better idea....save this country from collectivists.

By him continuing to pop up on Fox, he sure looks like he's starving for attention.

That's a funny joke. Cheney has never be motivated by the good of the country, only the good of Dick's wallet and his companies that profit from the rape of America.

if he is motivated by the good why did he do so much to destroy it's reputation?

He is/was financially secure for many generations, that kills your theory on his motivations.

And Kirk Kerkorian is secure for generations as well, yet he still tries to make a profit out of everything he touches. That kills your defense of his lack of motivations.

Cheney and Kerkorkian may have something in common. And so I find myself repeating a previous post.

It’s been my experience as a Social Darwinist living with and advocating for the rich and well-born, that believing that you can “ever have enough” is an idea that lives with those who don’t rub elbows with the truly rich and well-born. There is a “fictional finalism” that lives with the elite. “This will be my last million” maybe a lie that some of the truly elite tell themselves, but when checked against reality it is but a form of self-delusion. You can never leave enough to your heirs.

“You can’t be too young or too thin.” "You can’t be too rich or too powerful.” The idea that there is ever enough of any of the good things in life is a fiction...a fiction that, those who haven’t enjoyed all that elite schools [[at home and abroad), Aspen, Palm Springs, Palm Beach etc. have to offer, believe is real.

Kerkorian IS his career in business...that is his identity, not so for Cheney.

You're right. Cheney's identitiy is The Right Hand of Satan...which at the moment appears to be unchallenged.
