Murder is far less random than that. You usually become a victim because you are involved in drugs, have a bad apple in your family tree, marry someone with anger management issues, or seek employment at a convenience store.
You're still missing my point. Please refer back to my post on this subject. I never said or insinuated that crime couldn't happen in the outlying areas. People can commit a crime anywhere, in any location. You usually become a victim by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Does that happen more often in the city then in the suburbs? Check the stats and decide for yourself.
This type of crime wasn't your typical random robbery, property theft, car jacking, etc. This was a pre-meditated crime that was the result of two people being together who shouldn't have been. As the Stephen Grant case shows, this type of crime could have happened in Detroit, Michigan or Hooterville, Alabama. The fact that two people being together would eventually resulted in one of them tying to set the other on fire had nothing to do with the political, social or environmntal fators of their respective locations. They had/have unresolved mental problems, which can happn with all human beings regardless of their geography. You can move wherever you want to in the world and have just as high of a chance of having somthing like this happen near you.
Setting aside potential problematically proned government sponsored Obama care and deriviatives therein [[Romney Care), IMO an increasing lack of reverence and respect for life is undeniable. The reasons vary.
Interestingly in this incident additional charges are pending should it be found that the baby [[now born) has sustained any injuries. See update of story and video below:
Woman Set on Fire and Shot Gives Birth to Baby Boy
sanctity of life... JOKE
its ok to vaccuum and dismember a baby out of the uterus of a mother because this life is inconvieneiet...
soon with obama care and rationing, old people will not be worth maintaining...
everything is handed to the entitlement society with no sense of reprecussion or responsibility
anyone wonder why there is no respect for others?

I guess you could move to Seattle:
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-...nman-at-large/[[CBS/AP) SEATTLE - A gunman opened fire at a Seattle cafe on Wednesday, killing four people, critically wounding another and setting off a manhunt that forced officials to close nearby schools, authorities told CBS affiliate KIRO.
Police searching for the suspect also had to respond to another fatal shooting near the city's downtown. They say a man killed a woman in an apparent carjacking and fled in a black SUV.
Or Montreal;

I would recommend Mexico.

This was pretty stunning:
The latest spasm of deadly gun violence to hit the city worried Seattle's leaders and prompted police to consider increasing patrols in high-crime areas. The three deaths bring the number of homicides to 19 this year, compared to 21 in all of last year.
While it's still just a drop in the bucket compared to Detroit's murder count, that's a crazy year-over-year increase.
But look crime is dropping in Detroit. Here is the proof!
I love the part about 0 arsons in 2012!
