    Does anyone have information about the architect Charles Noble of Detroit. I believe he practiced in the 30s. I think he designed 344 Moross Place in Grosse Pointe Farms and maybe 287 Hillcrest also in Grosse Pointe Farms. The homes look much alike.

    Designed by C. Howard Crane. Somerset Apartment Hotel 1523 East Jefferson built in 1922 East Jefferson Avenue Residential Historic District Detroit, MI. Includes An article featuring the Somerset from a 1922 issue of the Detroit Free Press.

    Demolished: 2013

    The original building and alterations designed by Mildner & Eisen. Goeschel Building 3200 Gratiot built in 1914, altered in 1931 Detroit, MI. Includes an image before the building was reconfigured during the widening of Gratiot in the mid 1930's from the Burton Historical Collection circa 1915. An article from the Sept. 9 1914 Detroit Free Press, and an image of the front elevation for the alterations from Feb. 25 1931.

    The firm is noted for their apartment building designs. This house is one of few residences I have found designed by them.

    Designed by H. Augustus O'Dell for H. Augustus O'Dell. 1945 Tiverton built in 1926 Bloomfield Hills, MI. Includes images of the foyer and dining room floor. The floor is made from pieces of every type of marble used in the Fisher Building.

    One that W. Hawkins Ferry got wrong. This house is attributed to Raymond Carey in Buildings of Detroit. Designed by George Hunt Ingraham for John M. Dwyer. 372 Lakeland Street built in 1909 City of Grosse Pointe, MI. Includes images of the house from a 1909 issue of the Western Architect.

    George Hunt Ingraham was a Bostonian who had an office in Detroit for a few years.
    The house was moved approximately 100' and rotated 90 degrees.

    Yes the house was moved from the middle of what is now Lakeland to its present location.

    The clubhouse is the second building on this site the original Albert Kahn designed 1922 clubhouse burned down shortly after the building was completed.
