    Odd that your last post had a Washington home listed. Any info on the ones that burned? Also [[another topic), any info on the former Aloma theater at Charlevoix and Wayburn?

    Designed by Building Service Bureau/Ernest C. Thulin architect. Grosse Pointe Park Theatre 15001 Charlevoix built in 1924 Cabbage Patch Grosse Pointe Park, MI. Includes an article from the Grosse Pointe Review circa 1930.

    Renamed the Aloma in 1930, the theatre closed in 1955.
    Currenty the Thomas Hardware Company.

    This was a theater my dad went to a lot as a kid. My grandparents owned a bar nearby for a few years and they'd give my dad a little money to go to the movies while they got some work done. Later on, after it closed as a theater, the Aloma itself was a bar for several years.
