I'm finally putting my money where my mouth is when it comes to reversing the outflow of human capital from Metro Detroit -- I just accepted a job offer that is contingent on toxicology/background screening.

Likely looking to purchase in the next few months in either Detroit [[Midtown/New Center or Palmer Woods) or Ann Arbor [[Old West Side, maybe SE of downtown off of Packard), depending on where my wife gets a job offer.

I recall someone posting a link to an agency or developer based in Corktown[[?) a few months ago that looked promising.
