No, he was born in Italy, but moved to Canada as a teenager. He got his masters degree from the University of Windsor, and worked for Deloite & Touche Accounting firm in Toronto, before returning back to Italy.

So the Detroit area is not exactly foreign to him....

Even GM was planning on moving their downtown HQ to Warren before the feds stepped in and gave them bailouts and forced them to stay.

That was a bold faced lie, spread by anti-Obama forces on AM radio which apparently some folks still believe.

Chrysler will not come to Downtown Detroit. Their dirt cheap investment in Auburn Hills, MI. pays off. The WHQ will stay there for the next 50 to 100 years.
