Thanks, Stromberg2 and Cman710!! I'm still receiving emails and phone calls and cards from friends and folks who attended and some that couldn't make it....or couldn't get in because it was sold out!
Peachlaser: Thankfully, the last word I got from the folks at the Road to Tara Museum and Herb Bridges is that they were able to salvage most of the GWTW memorabilia stored there...and that the damaged items suffered water damage, not fire damage. That's good news because most of those items are one-of-a-kind. My collection doesn't even come close to theirs.
Zacha341: The Redford Theatre is definitely one of Detroit's treasures!! Worth a visit...go early to have a bite to eat at the Motor City Java House or Sweet Potato Sensations and stop in the Detroit Candle Company for some neat gift ideas!
