I once read Neal Stevenson's novel Snow Crash about world governments and cities ruled by corporations. The United States was effected by corp governments and people didn't have a voice to speak out against this very absolute poweful entities. They voice that people have is logging on the web by donning on their VR suits and create their own virtual realities.

Now what if the Michigan Legislature pass a law that allow corporations to run city municipal services and appoint emergency managers. Would this save Detroit from its own financial and regional collapse? Will the residents in this Corporate City of Detroit get their public services. Can this Detroit corporate government slum clear some residents if they don't provide any income or taking care of their properties? This could by just out of the Robocop movie of OCP's plan to create Delta City.
