She might want to contact Lawrence O'Donnell of MSNBC's The Last Word who might graciously help her walk back out of this disgusting Hoekstra mess. O'Donnell spoke the following in a Rewrite segment a few days ago...

"Now, I know the pressure's on out of work actors. I've been in many conversations with many actors here in Los Angeles, and in New York, who worry that the terrible part that they're being offered to play just might be the last part that they're ever offered to play. So they have to take that part to pay the rent or to keep qualifying for SAG health insurance.

I once talked someone out of playing Hitler's daughter. No, Hitler never had a daughter, but in this crazy movie script he did. Of course, Hitler's daughter eventually became President of the United States. I helped the actress considering that part of Hitler's daughter by asking, 'If this is the last part you ever play, do you really want it to be the last part you ever play?'

If you're not a star, show business is a really tough way to make a living. You never know where your next paycheck is coming from and you don't know what you have to do to get that paycheck. The actress who played this part was probably paid no more than $800, maybe $1,000 for her half day's work.

She's going to get very little or possibly no residuals at all for that ad being played locally in Michigan. It's not the kind of work that can help her career. There is no way the criticism that she is enduring tonight is worth it to her financially. No way.

To the actress who made this mistake, I'd like to share the rule that I and all of my friends in show business have lived by. I've done things in show business, in my case writing jobs here and there, that i am not proud of. But I've never done anything that I'm ashamed of."

The ad and the accompanying website are a very sad chapter in Michigan politics, and I'm saying this as a white, male, suburban conservative. I'm nearly the exact demographic that's being targeted by the ad.
I don't think she was offended or she needed the money, otherwise she would just be a stripper. She would get paid a lot more while maintaining self-respect.

He obviously feels when companies move their operations to China, they are just using good capitalist sense. And I find it funny that he neglected to mention that he's a big reason for the huge budget deficit since he voted in favor of the Bush Wall Street Bailout and the tax cuts that account for quite a bit of he deficit. He must be suffering from some form of dementia, which is a pretty good reason not to vote for him.

Actress in Pete Hoekstra's Super Bowl ad says taking role was mistake

    http://www.freep.com/article/20120215/NEWS15/120215057/Actress-controversial-Hoekstra-ad-says-taking-role-mistake?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

The Asian-American actress who played a role in a controversial campaign ad said it was “absolutely a mistake” to take the role, which was criticized as portraying cultural stereotypes.

“I am deeply sorry for any pain that the character I portrayed brought to my communities,” Lisa Chan, a 21-year-old woman who lives in the San Francisco area, said in a message on her Facebook page today.

Former U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra, a Holland Republican running for the U.S. Senate, had commissioned the ad for his campaign and aired it during the Super Bowl in Michigan.

In her Facebook post, Chan wrote, “As a recent college grad who has spent time working to improve communities and empower those without a voice, this role is not in any way representative of who I am. It was absolutely a mistake on my part and one that, over time, I hope can be forgiven."

“I feel horrible about my participation and I am determined to resolve my actions."

I don't blame her one bit. She is a working actor; that's just what your have to do in that profession some times. You are a resource/raw material in that industry.

Porn will only get you so far. Yes, a cute face and ass [[yes, both genders) will see some play but I do not suggest that path as a career, or as a means for quick/long term money.

When we really get right down to it; Hoestra paid a lot of money to embarrass himself and his brand. He stated that he wanted to make the same impression with this ad that DickCo did.

Well, talk about an anchor around many necks.

    EPIC FAIL ! ! !

Notice how all the cons on thread are silent and cannot find the words to defend Peety.

It's a shame that the message that China is really the new EVIL empire got lost in this Bozo's racist ad.
