    Default Watching Game 7?

So where's everyone who doesn't have a ticket going to be watching the game from on Friday? Downtown Detroit, Royal Oak, Mt Clemens, your mom's couch? Debating where to go to get the most party for my buck.

My own couch. The lines to the bathroom are much shorter and the beer is considerably colder and cheaper.

I need free tickets to the game, lower bowl only. I'll also need beer money.

That's a tough request. At least you don't need a ride too.

Well, since you offered. . . I'll get the beer at Smogboy's and then I'll head over to your house to watch the game.

The admission charge is outrageously expensive but if you're willing to fork over that sort of cash, I'll make sure the beer is cheap and cold.

And ejames01 has a much better television set than my feeble old school set.

Bronx, NY [[on tape delay) after I get out of work. Sadly, there will be no drinking as I have an early morning... I will be wishing I could be at Buddy's Pizza!

I'll be watching it in my hotel room in Danbury, CT. I'd go to a bar, but I'm pretty sure they don't even know what hockey is.

I'll be watching on the jumbo screen at Abick's. Bathroom lines are short and a the bar bill is crazy cheap for as much drinking as my mates & me do. Love a cheap date...
Can't beat their hot wings either. Good times, good times.

Maybe there'll be some old Whalers fans hanging around. I'm sure they share our dislike of Bettman...

Is there ANY hockey fan that likes Bettman?

He has absolutely no connection whatsoever with the game, its history or what makes the game the best sport around. And after seeing his marketing "genius" [[queue up the sarcasm meter to full tilt here) with Michael Jordan and the NBA, I don't think it's a good plan for the NHL at all. Promoting individual stars over teams, storied franchises and a league's rich history doesn't last- once that star diminishes, retires or ends up being a bust, the scheme fails miserably. And Bettman's franchising of teams to non-hockey markets has proven to be a bust at best [[Florida? Atlanta? Phoenix? Tampa Bay?). His television contract with Versus is a total joke- some of those broadcasts aren't any better than the early days of ON-TV!

But rather than thread jack here, I know I'll be hissing & booing when he comes out to present the Cup to the Wings this Friday.

I'm watching it from home with my husband and whoever else wants to come over.
Has anyone heard a potential parade date, if applicable? I have to get it off of work, for sure!

No problem, last weekend I took the new GF to Good Girls for a crepe, a Tigers game,[[got to see the C. Thomas grand slam!) then Slows for dinner. This weekend it's game 7, the BC and the air races on Saturday. Trying to decide between the Bucharest Cafe and Traffic Jam for dinner.

If my former softball league mates are going to McCarthy's on Fort St. to watch the game, I'll probably join them. Lousy reception, not much better food, but great company. Otherwise, I'll watch it solo at home.

I had originally planned on watching it on my ancient Quasar [[circa 1988) 19" TV. However, the girlfriend invited me over to watch it on her somewhat larger [[25") TV. As long as she's making dinner, I'll be there!

I'll be watching it in Downtown Pittsburgh....originally bought some tickets for the Tigers/Pirates series a few months back, without knowing this scenario. I'll have my Red Wings threads on, I just hope a few other Michiganders/Tigers fans will too, because I will be severely outnumbered. Go Wings!!!!!!

Good luck to ya! I hear Pens fans can be vicious.

I will be watching it at my sister's house in suburban Chicago away from lovely Detroit. Kinda bummed, but whatever.
