Same thing with Staples and Goodwill
If you have a Dell pc and are buying a new Dell , you have an option to ship the old one back free via FedEx

If you live in Detroit, recycle here accepts electronics every wednesday and saturday at their main location on Holden.
They also accept all regular recycling at this location and their mobile stations, so whoever was driving out to SOCCRA, this is an option that you could do.

There you go folks, no more SOCCRA!

Those folks work fast fo' sho! 15 years ago I sat out an old heavy, steel and iron circa 1960's wide-format Tappan Stove and two small but ultra strong guys pulled up with a truck and hoisted it in like it was feather! This was before the days of mega-scrappin' where sometimes those same folks are stripping homes illegally.
Office Depot has a program but it costs a few bucks. I imagine Best Buy has one also. You buy the box for a fixed amount and you can fill it with old computers, monitors and keyboards. Supposedly it's disposed of in a responsible way.
Really surprised no one mentioned Recycle Here!If you live in Detroit, recycle here accepts electronics every wednesday and saturday at their main location on Holden.

I was almost tempted to go behind the Office Depot and see if the box I bought was in the dumpster. I am just so damned cynical anymore.
