"Don't forget Lelli's lives on at Lelli's North in Auburn Hills. "

Lelli's stopped living when they torched their place in New Center. Let;s not celebrate the fruits of their criminal actions.

I thought it was awfully convenient they had the fire while they were supposedly closed for remodeling.
The old building housed so many memories, and I loved the horrible greenish blue paint. Legend had it Vito Giacolone used to have his own private dinning room upstairs.

Anyone else remember Betsy Ross [[the original) on 7 Mile just East of Woodward? My cousin a baker and I used to call in an order at 6:00am and they'd have it ready for her on the way home from work. Great place! Also, Ted's on the Park across from Palmer Park...haven't been near there in a while, but I'll bet it's gone now. Also, Kim's Gardens Chinese on W. McNichols - they were super.

Since this has turned into yet another nostalgia thread with reminiscences of bygone Detroit, I'd like to nominate the bar in the Hotel Ste. Claire. Hey, it's been gone since 1934, but I remember it fondly. You shoulda been there.
