Default Police Pepper Spray Peaceful UC Davis Students

The students win in the end.

At 6:38 the leading police terrorist shakes his empty chemical weapon spray bottles to signal his fellow thugs that the righteous protesters have absorbed, exhausted and surmounted the entire supply of their pepper gas.

The terrorist police then have no choice but to retreat from the greater force of the people.

The armed defenders of the parasitic saboteurs in power lost this round against an unarmed populace.

Glad you liked it. I can't take credit for making any of those, however.

Supposedly his name is John Pike and his email address and phone number are available here. He would probably appreciate a little sympathy about now.

Are his actions here any less illegal than the actions of those who torture animals for their own twisted amusement?

no. I believe police officers who conduct themselves as he did should be fully prosecuted for felony assault. I think police who are convicted of any crime should get an extra bunch of years added for violating the public trust as well

I wonder if the three already rich Bankers that won the lottery will make a charitable donation to OWS and if they do will it be tax deductible?

  9. #284

I had to work in England for a while and I remember at that time if you won their Lottery of say $200M you got a payout $200M because it wasn't taxed a second time. Our rich Banker winners will only get about $120M after the American double taxation - all the dollars used to buy the tickets were already after tax Dollars. I thought the OWS would be interested to know our Government are penalizing these rich Bankers with double taxation. It might make them happy.

Get to the root of the problem. Occupy Economics.

Anti-tax zealot Grover Norquist, the president of Americans For Tax Reform and author of the radical anti-tax pledge that has played a significant role in hamstringing budget and deficit-reduction negotiations, has said that it is unacceptable for those who have signed his pledge to vote in favor of any tax increase. But now that President Obama and congressional Democrats are backing a tax cut aimed at stimulating economic growth, Norquist has changed his tune.

Norquist met with Republican members today to let them know that opposing the extension of the payroll tax cut — which would provide many families an extra $1,000 a year — would not amount to supporting a tax increase,...

That stands in contrast, however, to Norquist’s position on tax cuts for the wealthy. Norquist has repeatedly warned GOP members about voting in favor of repealing the Bush tax cuts for the rich or tax hikes on millionaires, even verbally sparring with a member of a group of millionaires advocating for higher taxes on themselves last month in Washington, D.C. And yet, when it comes to tax cuts for the middle class meant to drive economic recovery, Norquist clearly takes a different stance.
A wee bit of duplicity from the Traitor in Chief, eh?

Grover's efforts to halt taxation must have lifted him out of the middle class. What a hypocrite.
As for the root of the problem, it's big money in our elections. Anyone who signed Grover's pledge to not raise taxes -- on the rich, it now appears-- should not be elected to office.

The idea of separating business $$$ and politics is a nice notion.
I don't think the Democrats and Republicans won't like it much, though.
You don't really think they take those offices for the paycheck of around $1OOK, do you?

It's all about rubbing elbows and greasing palms. That's where the money really is.

The occupy movement is all about the "evils" of businesses, but they should focus thier attacks on Government. After all, Government is the enabler.

Regulate corps instead of blowing up buildings. Corps will just build other ones. And Fawkes was just the fall guy for the gunpowder plot. Read your history.

Default Occupy Wall Street: Iraq vet Scott Olsen on what he hopes the movement will achieve

Keith and Iraq veteran Scott Olsen — the Occupy Oakland protester who suffered brain damage at the hands of Oakland police — discuss his health, how Olsen got involved in the movement and what he envisions the next steps of the movement will be. Olsen, who plans on rejoining occupation efforts after his health improves, noted that he wants to see “more people get involved with real democracy” and believes that ending all wars “will do our country a great service.”

Joshua Holland - "Occupy the Ports" day of action

The Occupy movement confronts international trade all along the Pacific coast. This is far beyond the scale of anything the meager Tea Party has ever attempted.
It's sending a shot across the bow of the one percent.

    My Comrades!

Well done on your humungous protest against corporate control of its U.S. ports. Block them from coming into your lands. Let's make them pay from stealing our hard earned resources. Corporations think that the 99 Percenters are been evicted from our bases in every last major cities in the world. But NO! we occupy everywhere. When a hard winter comes to end, We are the 99% will rise from our hiding places and attack every last kleptocratic corporations and polticians and lobbyists who favor those pricky greedy people. Our socialist mantra will be heard. We are the 99 Percenters will prevail my comrades. We will fight with the weapons of peace. Let the police beat us down, spray mace at us. Let them take us to jail. That will not stop the 99 percenters from ending our cries. Keep on fighting my comrades. Soon the world will see the proletarians reforming our changing society one nation at a time. For our children, for our brothers and sisters and for our families, we have nothing to lose, but our chains. Let us go fourth and win the world.

    WORD FROM THE STREET PROPHET

For the 99 Percenters and the Spirit of Guy Fawkes.

I've been trying to understand why the Port of Oakland was being blocked. We are lucky if the TV news reports such an action but are not told why the port was blocked. So I listened to the Hartman interview of Joshua Holland. Hartman ventured to guess that the reason was in reaction to years of bad trade policy. Holland did not contradict Hartman but listed three reasons of his own.
    • because they wanted to
    • to protest the Mexican truckers President Obama put on US roads to compete with Teamsters
    • It's sending a shot across the bow of the one percent.
The Tea Party movement hasn't blocked any roads or ports that I know of but used to be against politicians who betrayed US workers with the likes of NAFTA type agreements and the Mexican trucker executive order. I say "used to" because the Tea party has become so coopted by neocons that they are now supporting Gingrich. Anyway, good luck to the OWS people in turning back such legislation undercutting US workers.

Your comparison is silly. Your group wants to impose itself on society by physical force whereas the other is doing it through the Ballot Box. So far the Tea Party has had far superior success.

We live in a nation where 1 of 100 people can be wealthy. We are fortunate to live in a nation like this!
In Europe, there are 3.1 million HWNI's. North America still leads the pack of millionaires and billionaires with 3.4 million, but our growth rate is significantly lower than Asia's.
    http://abcnews.go.com/Business/milli...ry?id=13905440
But why is it "1%" in America and not 5% or 10%? It's because our politicians, of all parties, have sold our nation's wealth and prosperity out to the rest of the world. And for what motive? Why would they kill huge companies like Zenith, the old American made TV? The steel mills? The US Automakers? It's obvious that the Big 3 were sold down the river by Government allowing any Tom,Dick or Harry around the globe to sell thier cars in the USA so American companies [[who build products in Mexico and Canada with parts made in China, Mexico and Indonesia) can split thier market share time and time again into smaller and smaller sales numbers.

There has been no protection of American companies and of the American worker.

    I firmly believe 2 things:

    1. Some people hate the United States, even fellow Americans, for historically having it "better" than other countries around the world. These are people who take joy in seeing America knocked off it's golden pedestal.

    2. The economy and wealth of the United States must be destroyed to socially engineer our country into a desire to join a Global government. After all, if we have it better than the rest of the world, by making our country that golden goose on the mountaintop, why would we ever want to give it up to join the rest of the planet in shared poverty and misery?

What is going on with the limited wealth is completely intentional and orchestrated.
    Conspiracy theory? I think not.

When union workers first burnt & smashed those Japanese cars & TV sets in the 1970's in the streets of Detroit & Chicago to protest the imports, it was the first sign of the beginning of the end.

As U.S. imports continued to exceed exports, the dollar declined. The annual inflation rate rose to more than 10 percent. The automotive industry, for decades a mainstay of the economy, suffered losses due to foreign imports, and the Chrysler Corporation needed federal loan guarantees to forestall bankruptcy.
