I bought a Cannondale 29er single speed on eBay for $499 and it's the best bike I have ever owned.

Here is a local Cannondale Urban bike, it has gears for $729

Ook de pooiers, dealers en husslers hebben het maar zwaar tijdens de economische crisis. Minder geld merken je immers ook aan de onderkant van de samenleving. OK, I can sorta stumble my way through dutch a bit, so here is my rough paraphrase:

In this economy, times are also tough for pimps, dealers [[drug dealers, i guess?) and hustlers. Instead of driving around pimped out cadillacs, they are doing business on bicycles. the last bit is something about style.
