Good topic! Attachment 10574
I didn't throw the first taco, but I was banned from Xochimilcho for a late nite food fight.
Oh! Oh! Pick me!
I couldn't think of anywhere that had kicked me out. I was so disappointed!
Then I remembered Mr. Hogg's precalc class in high school. He kicked me out permanently. I didn't do a damned thing wrong. Okay, maybe I smiled at a politically incorrect moment. He was just powertripping. I think he had a grudge against having to teach mere high school students. Then again, maybe my hair was too long.
I later went on to score an absolutely perfect grade in second-year calculus: top of the class, flawless, zero mistakes—even in all of the notoriously difficult extra-credit problems which weren't even necessary in my case but I took them on as an extra personal challenge just to prove—something. Graduated summa cum laude.
God Himself could not have scored higher in that class.
Take that, Duane! [[May you rest in peace.)
Maybe he wasn't such a bad teacher after all, eh?

Wait, what just happened here?
My son was shopping for an upscale desk. He found a desk he liked but it's doors were hung a bit crooked. I asked the salesman if he could order one that was built better. The salesman insisted that the doors seemed crooked because the floor under the desk was sloping. I offered to help him turn the desk around to see if the doors straightened. He ordered me out of the store for calling him out. He was the owner it turned out. I made some comments heard by the other customers on the way out. My son wrote up some scathing reviews of that store for as long as they stay posted on the internet.

Well, since this was moved out of the Detroit section...
We were once kicked out of a restaurant in Koln Germany for a reason we didnt know. Guy yelled at us when we walked in and kept yelling and pointing at the door. He was so irate and speaking so fast we didn't know what he was saying [[in German). Thought maybe we werent dressed correctly or they didnt like Americans or it was a private party... who knows.
I've never been banned from anywhere [[At least not that I can remember). I've been kicked out of a handful of bars when I was younger, but it was always due to the antics of those I was with not anything I personally did.
Do countries count?
Only if you can confirm and not deny that you've been there and why...especially if you were under orders.
I've tried, but don't think I've been banned from anywhere. Oh yeah, I was banned from the Gramophone, along with all of my customers. Cost my old boss over a quarter million bucks of business that first year alone. He could've had it all...silly ass didn't react well to my quitting when he scolded me for spending too much time with customers. I immediately quit SO I could spend more time with them. Go figure.
It was the best choice I ever made in my hifi career.
1998 Banned from Gigi's in Warrendale for taking liberty offered by one of their hottest strippers at the time!
If corporations are people, then I suppose countries can count.
2002 - kicked out of Baker's Keyboard Lounge for not drinking enough & not flirting enough with the manager. [[Have told that story elsewhere on the forum.) It'll be a cold day in hell before I go back again.
Banned from or kicked out of?
Never been banned, but kicked out of a lot of places. Never before midnight - hmmmm...
Jenison Field House at MSU in 1966 when my Ferndale High School Eagles faced Dearborn Fordson ?
in the State Championship game Class A basketball [[Ferndale won ) the score at halftime was Dearborn was up by over 20 points due to some crappy calls on my Eagles , I chucked a hunk of rock candy at the ref and hit him in the noodle . A couple of burly security guards came at me and carried me out the door . I knew they were coming for me and told my buddy to throw me a ticket stub out the men's room window . He did , I got the ticket stub and went in another entrance and watched the rest of the game .
Canada. Jim Carreys [[the comedian) father in law at the time drove me, my buddy, and a few other Deadheads back to the border dumping us just inside the U.S. near Buffalo. He worked for Hamilton Wentworth Correctional Facility as a guard. He was really cool, telling us stories about Carrey when he was in high school. They locked up about 100 of us at a Grateful Dead show for various things. When in court the judge was so overwhelmed with all of us she just gave everyone 20 days each.
That is a great one, Django.
You forget you were banned from that infamous sandwich shop downtown by the ogre-in-charge, too, LOL! Not nearly as prestigious...but noteworthy nonetheless.
I didnt know I was banned, news to me. Oh well.
I was kicked out of The Old Shillelagh in 1980. A friend was in from Illinois and I took him there. We had a few pitchers of beer, there was a live band. It would have been a Friday or Saturday. We were on our last pitcher and the band was almost done before taking a break. The waitress took our empty pitcher and shortly after we finished our beers. The owner came by and asked us what we wanted and we said we were done. He said "then get out - i'm not in the business of giving free concerts".
Got thrown out of The Blue Lantern in Farmington Hills in '73. Can't really say why except it was a quiet neighborhood bar night with a bunch of 40-50 year olds in there. Then us 20's longhair.scooter trash came in. Guess they didn't like our looks. Bartender said leave before we even ordered.
Runner up is the time I got a stripper at a burlesk joint in Toledo in '71 to flip me off at the end of her act. The Edison IIRC. Guess my loud verbal critique of her act, costume, and general appearance was not appreciated nor solicited. Being in the second row, my review of her performance was overshadowed by the antics of the drunken farm boys in the front row. They were throwing peanuts at the probably 70 year old drummer at the front corner of the stage. Guy was in a protective "cage".
Clem and the boys got escorted out, all I got was the bird at the end of her act.
That place should be shut down for the food poisoning I got there a few years back...made me violently ill..
I didn't throw the first taco, but I was banned from Xochimilcho for a late
nite food fight
With that said, I can recall the numerous places I was tossed out of in Windsor for being an asshat. Bentley's was always great but once in a while [[usually with large groups) we would get tossed out just for being near someone who started some shit such as tossing a beer or fighting. There was a karaoke place just down the street that we were tossed out of for heckling a 50 year old dork who was doing his best impersonation of Tom Petty. It sounded like Geddy Lee and he needed to be stopped...
Got tossed out of Pine Knob for bringing Jack to the concert. Guy next to me smoking a J and they didn't blink an eye, but with booze you are messing with their profits so...
Got chased out of Tung Lee Chinese Restaurant after a retard friend of mine started some shit with the owner about the bill.

Only time was in Oxford England in a costume shop... my buddy tried on a Henry VIII outfit, and I laughed so hard we bother were asked to leave.... owner probably realized we weren't going to rent a costume...
Banned from the People Mover after a Detroit Drive Football game at Joe Louis.
One of my friends spit on the tracks, then an office came on the platform and escorted us off the people mover. We sneaked our way into the Olympia room for an after party and it was pretty late in the evening. Thus with us only being 15/16yrs old and trying to get back to our car which was over near Greektown. Needless to say walking though the city was quite adventurous, with at one point we were walking along the Lodge.
It seems as if you're not truly a DYes regular unless you've been banned or kicked out of some venue, sometime, somewhere... glad to be in such august company! [[And I'm not being sarcastic this time. I mean it!)
