Fiery and colorful Canadian politician and long time leader of the rising NDP Party Jack Layton succumbed to cancer today. For those who follow politic on the south side of our metro in Windsor, an NDP strong hold, Jack will be missed.

In this year's election he led his party into second place making it the official opposition supplanting the fading left of center Liberals.
