Streisand's note-bending reading of "Evergreen" is one of the greater vocal performances of the past 50 years, to my ears, and a great marriage of beautiful lyric to beyond-improvement reading.

I used to have a colleague who described Streisand's voice as stressful, like she was in distress when she sang.

I had to throw this one in here - this teen aged woman, did a fantastic rendition of "Red House".
Let alone the guitar licks, listen to the pipes. She will have a career for life. Sorry AGT.
