As the lead in paragraph states: "Petroc Trelawny visits the American city of Detroit to look at how the ravages of economic decline have affected the Detroit Symphony Orchestra"
I feel it is a fairly well balanced 45 minuted dedicated to the city and the orchestra. Of interest is the interview bit with Joseph Striplin, the first African American member of the orchestra. Other native Detroit DSO members remember the Detroit school system fondly with bands, orchestras, and arts/ music education.
Well worth the 45 minutes.
