Downtown Detroit Skillman Library Closing??

The time span given was Saturday, July 9. There's absolutely no indication or reason to believe that's a "starting" date beyond which there is continued closure.

It's official.

In a response from Joel Anyim, the administrator at the Skillman Library, he confirms the library is on a temporary 5 day work week, Mon - Fri. Skillman library is not closing, pending Library Commission decision. The Library commission decided it will not close any branches any time soon. He also apologized for any confusion.

I don't get it. Why does people's confusion here mean that aspersions have to be cast upon the entire DPL? As someone said above, one phone call could have cleared up any confusion.

There ARE relatively few librarians. Many workers come out of the community. I was a high school kid whose first job was at a DPL branch. I'm so glad that there weren't people around back then to cast aspersions on the entire Library because of some sign that I typed or wrote.
