I find it rediculous that there are grown adults out there who can't get past the whole 'OMG, boobs!' thing.. This lady was feeding her child, and [[even in accordance with SMART's policy) has every right to do so! Can't handle breastfeeding? Sorry about your weird hangup, but mind your own business and don't look--see, you do have a right not to have to see such a thing! A baby gets hungry when and where it pleases, and it's mommy's job to feed baby. Not your job to worry about it, or ask why she can't do it in a way more to your liking.

Some women are unable to extract milk from their breasts with a breast pump. And some young infants [[especially newborns) refuse to take a bottle.

I would imagine that it would be the exception rather than the rule, as a matter of fact, some women pump their breast because they can't breast feed.

My point was this, we have too many people who stop in the middle of the street to talk to someone while letting the cars behind them wait.

We have people who carry on cell phone conversations in public while conducting business.

You have people who carry on conversations in the movie theatres bothering others around them.

You have mother's in public places like church for instance, instead of immediately removing themselves when the baby starts crying to calm the baby down, will stay in their seats trying to calm the baby down only removing themselves as a last resort.

None of these things are illegal as is breast feeding, but it represents a basic disreguard for the sensibilities of people who might not want to see such things. If there wasn't an alternative such as a breast pump thats one thing but many women don't want to use them, not because they can't but because it would take some time and advanced planning.

So why do that when you can take the view of " tough, if you don't like it, its not illegal so get over it".
