Corner of Northlawn, backed by Plymouth Rd. Several overhead doors on the back and side.
With the funky smoke/steam stack, maybe some sort of manufacturing plant, or dry cleaner?
It was one of the showrooms and sales and repair facilities for Frigidaire. The tower was originally done in stainless steel borders framing blue enamel panels with FRIGIDAIRE spelled out in neon.
Well, now that you say that, you can almost make out the letters.
Thank you detroitbob and Meddle!!! I am sure you can see why I was so intrigued. And yes, I really can see the outlines of those letters. I bet it looked pretty at night!
It looks like it was a cool looking deco building behind that plywood anybody have an early pic of it?
