These can grow up to 7 feet tall.

I was hoping to suggest Lupines, featured in Monty Python's account of Dennis Moore, the obsessively egalitarian highwayman.

Peony bush - When we moved from Detroit in 1970, my dad dug them up and took them to our new home. When mom died, I dug them up and took them to my home. The bushes are over 50 years old....

Queen Anne's Lace or False Carrot
^^ Lots of these all over MI {you know}. I was able to recognize them before they flowered and enjoyed their scent, and of course I've seen many of these flowers too, but I never realized they're the same plant. Do they still smell like carrots? Probably not?

Hollyhocks! I grew up with them. They were everywhere in the late seventies... alleys, sides of garages, fences. I guess a fungus wiped them out...
