Work has begun at MCS

It is interesting to see that even though the tower is a very long 342 ft., it is very shallow.... with the center of the tower only 54ft across, and 108 ft. across at the ends.

While such floor space is not ideal for commercial use, it appears perfect for residential [[lots of windows per unit). It would also be ideal for hotel floors, such as was mentioned as a casino complex.

Interestingly the east end has 6 elevators, while the west end has 2 elevators.

I've actually seen plenty of building outs of what we call "bowling alley offices" MCS benefits from having elevators on two sides. If they add another central stair, they could move away from a double loaded corridor leasing plan to end loaded leasing at both cores.

I work in an office space that measures 40' x 200' feet. So much light and great views. You don't even need to turn on the lights.

If it were converted into a hotel, the two elevators on the west end would be ideal for service elevators. In fact, I wouldn't doubt that is the original intention of those elevators.

BTW, that typical floor could easily be split up into about 40 standard guest rooms and 11 larger suites. Spread over 15 floors, that equates to as many as 765 rooms. Granted, if it were converted into a hotel, I'm sure the upper floors would be residential, meaning the hotel would really only have about 480 standard guest rooms and 132 suites.
