I dunno if they exactly stole Pure Michigan's thunder since the Mile after Magnificent Mile campaign is pretty old [[gotta be more than 10 years old by now). That particular spot did take some creative qualities from Pure Michigan... But they also did it better, IMO.Oh, but wait! Pure Michigan has competition from ...OMG, who'da thunk they'd COPY anything from MICHIGAN??? I ask you! The NERVE! LMAO. Allow me to present to you...

GMAB. Really. I'm seeing the ads every 15 minutes on my frickin local TV stations here in SW Michigan. I realize Kalamazoo is like just about exactly halfway between Detroit and Chicago, but I can't help feeling resentful over imaginary stolen thunder.
I live in Cincinnati, and often in Chicago for business. Pure Michigan ads are on all the time in both cities.
The Detroit, Ann Arbor, and "Bay Area" spots get most of play at home, while [[2) the Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and Lake Michigan spots get most of the play on the road.
No accident I'm sure, geographic targeting. The Detroit ad exists, not everyone will necessarily see it.
That said, too much focus on the casinos [[UGH!) in the Detroit ad.
Holy cow, that's impressive.I have nothing but love for Grand Rapids. They are pulling together and doing a lot of things right. I think Detroit can actually learn something from its little brother. That said, I think a Detroit video is in order.
In regards to Grand Rapids, if you haven't seen this, YOU MUST!
