I'm sure that someone's mentioned it on here before, but does anyone remember Channel 7's 4:00 [[or 4:30) Movie? My favorite weeks were Godzilla Week and Monsters Week! ;-)
Wow, am I the only person who looked at the "Good Afternoon Detroit" clip and suddenly felt old? Those hairstyles and clothes took me back [[and believe me, we thought we looked great back then)!
What was on Channel 7 at 4PM before Oprah?
Burns & Allen? Howdy Doody?
The Oprah Cow has been on since the late 50s [[or so it seems) and it's long past time it was gone.
I think it was Bonanza
It was the 4:00 movie. I remember as kid they occassionally had theme weeks like Elvis week, Beatles week, John Wayne week, etc where every movie that week was from the featured artist.
In 1949 it was Pat 'n' Johnny.

Supposedly that Dr Oz guy is going to replace her.
I give it 6 months until Channel 7 rolls out the 4:00 news.
I was 9 years old when Oprah Winfrey came on the air in 1986. She is a billion dollar outstanding African American woman who broke the media talk show glass ceiling. She has her own magazine, studio and now her O.W.N. network. I wish her the very best on her new cable TV network, THE STREET PROPHETS salutes you.
As a kid, I too looked forward to "Godzilla" week, although a close second was "Planet of the Apes" week.
