Water levels in the Great Lakes need some let-up but we also have had the same kind of effect from rain, rain, rain... Some towns south of Montreal have been flooded for 4-5 weeks on the Richelieu river.
Lake St-Louis at the west end of Montreal island will rise so that the Great Lakes lower their level by flushing toward the Ocean via the St-Lawrence seaway. Starting yesterday, they will accept the highest posible level on our lake before an alarm is set-off in order to alleviate problems in the midwest.
