We used to live on Ashland in the early 50's. In the backyard we had a dock which was shared by our neighbor. One day our neighbor was drilling some holes in his boat and there was a huge explosion....

As a youngster, laws had no effect on us at all. We would just shoot down Telegraph to Toledo, or go to Windsor to get the crappy stuff! Nobody in our neighborhood complained.

I remember the same thing on my Grandma's street [[St. Marys) There was also the Twin Pines Dairy trucks!

Everytime my Dad took us to Scotty's Fish and Chips [[Plymouth and Outer Drive I think) I would always order the Bulldog Ginger Beer. I loved that stuff!

My Grandma, who lived on St. Marys called it Krogers, ergo we grew up calling it Krogers. It was always a treat to walk over there in the summer.:cool:
