Yeah, it sure iis tough being white, but consider how many whites would choose to be black, even with all the advantages that come along with that, and I am guessing very few.

This is sad and disturbing news.
The Sanders plant in the first cluster is a Parducci site according to the new book
I would very much like to chat with him about that trove. We are planning a 2nd eddition, the first was 200 copies and may not last that long and we are still looking for new information. I would...
A bunch of color pictures is also what you give up when you are self-published. WSUPress was not interested in our project, they may have another CP in the works, and yes, this is a field guide. ...
One of the major problems we faced was getting, or rather using just one picture per commission. Many of the sites features one, two, or three dozen individual pieces and we allotted ourselves just...
I have not yet seen the finished book, hopefully St. Cecilia made the final cut. With something like 600 or 700 commissions decisions had to be made.
There were rumors that Gregg Sutte might have salvaged some materials, drawings perhaps, from the building after CP's death. Any ideas?
Looking forward to your review.
Me too Kathleen, I have not seen the final, bookstand ready edition yet.
I think it is out now, I'll find the web site where it can be ordered from. Mention my name and get 0% off!
Sometime in the mid 1980s I started researching the life and work of Corrado Parducci. I posted about it here in subsequent years but then around 2000 I moved to New Mexico, and later Arizona, and...
Let me know what you find about the Ys. I am also trying to track down what's what because Parducci worked on several of them.
Pretty good guess.
another white guy, how I got to Detroit and why I left is too long and not really germane.
a brief follow up, the reliefs have been discovered in, of all places, East Lansing.
Wow. These are the pictures I needed. Thanks. You can see the difference between the building as designed [[see drawing in another posting) that includes a ten [[carp math) story YMCA section on...
Courts, lawyers and judges would be fine as long as they are standing in front of the building. I do believe that the sculptures still exist, they are now in East Lansing and I am chatting with...
I found this one too, but it is not very helpful.
I found this picture too, however it seemed to me that this was not going to be one I could use. I don't really care when the picture is taken. When I last went to photograph the building I found a...
thanks for the link, Lowell.
I am exploring how to set up my Shadowing Parducci web site even as we speak, so to speak, and shall be in the first four people to hear about it when it is realized.
I knew that I had not been here in a while when I found a message over 5 years old waiting for me. I am working on a book that is no longer a book but a website called "Shadowing Parducci" that will...
I am fine, nice to see a few familiar faces. My "other life" aka "offline" is a bit overwhelming, but this is one of my homes. I don't think this publication is from any university, I think that...
I am pretty sure that CP did not do anything on this building.
However, I just discovered a selvpublished book - no author listed called something like 'Sculpture on Buildings by Corrado Parducci' ...
