An
amazing gallery of art lies along a scary abandoned rail spur,
known as the Dequindre cut,
running between Eastern Market and downtown. As high
as the arm can reach, virtually every surface of the undersides
of the depression era Public Works Administration bridges that pass over the mile
long moat are covered with spray can paintings. Even
the burnt remains of an abandoned, and quite likely stolen, car become canvas for
these proliferate artists.
