Need to know what does this new graffiti tag mean. Have been seeing it on a variety of buildings and public signs around town particularly in the in the east side Mt. Elliot and Van Dyke area.
Any clues?

Why do you need to know what it means?
Because curious minds need to know.
I am with Ron. A puzzlement. Seems to be a social comment. It's all over the east side. I knew about polka dots but 1.2.3.??????? What's the message.
Maybe they're trying to promote counting.
Or maybe it means they want attention, and we're giving it to them.
1.4.3 has meant "I love you," based on the number of characters per word.
Is that a clue? I don't know.
Most of this is concentrated around the Heidelberg Project. I was surprised to see "1 2 3" painted on the fire station on Mount Elliot. It was built in 1892 and was the city's oldest operating station until it closed last summer.
It's the 2013 Detroit Census.
I noticed it on a few buildings which were demoed shortly thereafter. I wondered if it was part of a blight removal program or merely another Heidelberg-esque thing.
