You know, at 77 and 79 years old and living on a street with seven abandoned homes, it may have been the best, most caring strategy to help them leave and move in to a nice subsidized senior apartment rather than attempt to force their continuance in their house. As it is, now they still have to pay taxes, pay that loan,pay utilities, attempt to safeguard their home. I wonder if the interference of "caring" people was wise.
