From a layman's point of view, it looks like the takedown was unwarranted, but the patron was clearly screaming and getting in security's face, just looking to stat an altercation. He got exactly what he was asking for.

The one sided reporting is typical of media today, yet still sickening. The music alone sounds better suited to a slasher flick than a news report.

You start punishing those who uphold societies laws and rules, while giving windfall paydays to those who break said laws and rules, and society will inevitably crumble.
You also have to remember that the takedown incident with the young man whom stayed at the hotel occurred during the height of the pandemic. Everyone was told to practice social distancing. Even law enforcement would pull motorists over and have motorists just to show their credentials without taking them back to the squad cars. This young man invaded their space during this time so taking him down was needed.
