The Historic Studebaker Automobile Plant burned to the ground in a dramatic conflagration on the night of June 20-21.   Only a piece of its name remains on the upper portion of the charred section at the left.


The western section that ran along Brush lies smoldering two days after the fire.  City of Detroit firefighters continue to pour water on deeply buried embers.
