~BRIGHTMOOR~

Located on Fenkell between Evergreen and Lahser, the Irving Building appears in my 1929 Detroit City Guide making this area one of the oldest westside commercial zones. This stretch on Fenkell, known as "downtown" Brightmoor is now largely abandoned and pock marked with vacant lots. By contrast the nearby residential housing is well built, maintained and occupied.
