Fine people,

Urgh! A Music War was a British film featuring performances by Punk Rock, New Wave, and Post-Punk acts, filmed in 1980.

On June 11th, eighteen emerging Detroit bands give a wink and a nod to the original cult classic film while creating something completely new, completely Detroit, completely now!

Urgh! A Detroit Music War will be filmed live at the legendary PJ’s Lager House on June 11th, 2011. When the dust settles the end result will be a feature length DVD that will be a defining document of the current Detroit music scene.

With a team of Detroit artists directed by acclaimed experimental filmmaker, Brandon Walley, this bombastic night will be captured and filmed in multi-camera HD, 16mm and Super 8. Audience members will also be encouraged to shoot video clips from their smart phones with various takes to be used throughout the DVD!

So if you think it's a neat idea, please move your eyeballs to the Kickstarter page [[link below). This ambitious production only happens if we can generate sufficient funds. Please, take ownership of URGH! A Detroit Music War! Check out the giving levels.
