Military Aircraft Flyby

At 1:40 today I spotted two Warthogs flying over Utica headed southeast. Yesterday they flew over in the same direction at about 3:10 at a very low altitude.

Is there some airshow going on? Is this some Osama bin Laden victory lap?

Wow! I didnt know these things were that old. They will be decommissioned in 2028 apparently. Great looking planes. I'm gonna trade in my f-35 for one of these.

That's nothing. Military planners assume that the B-52 will have an 80 year service life by the time they retire it.

Wow, and I think there are around 3000 DC3's or Dakotas left still flying. These simple but precise aircraft are pretty amazing things. I once put USAF markers on one for a movie, and we had the interior of a Lockheed Constellation stripped and painted army green and fitted as a personnel carrier
doubling as the said Dakota.
