Orange barrels on Michigan

I had seen orange barrels on Michigan avenue from Woodward to Third. Will the street be under construction? Does anyone know how long?

I also saw that and saw a heavy police presence in that area. Didn't see any construction workers or vehicles, though.

Those barrels have been up since Wednesday, and as of Friday at 4:30 I had yet to see any crews or work being done.

Someone who lives in Trolley Plaza told me there will be filming there. So add that to the list of possibilities, even though you'd think they'd have filmed already.

Hmm, somehow I am not so sure about filming, because they repainted the center line in the street. Could this be for paint work; parking spaces, bike lane, etc??

Work has started and it looks like they are just resurfacing? Of all the streets in Detroit, let alone stretches of Michigan Ave that need resurfacing, this area was deemed the most in need of repair?

I just received a memo from HR, they are widening Michigan Avenue.
