Just a little smitch of my inspiration create from my experience being born and raised in my city, where it should and can be...some picture are in detroit and being developed or developing soon. This is just the beginning for Detroit, so many projects are going on right now. Bright future...

Its in downtown chicag. Lord only knows why things like that, the chicago rainforest cafe and images of times square are in a detroit thread.

Some pics are there, as i explained earlier in the thread. These pics are "Ideas", concepts, and inspiration of what I will like to see here in Detroit. Its pretty cool when I visit other cities and see businesses like these. I love creative, unique architecture and how its pleasing to the eye...As Ive mention in the beginning, NOT all pictures are from Detroit but heres some others I enjoy when Im in there city. Wouldnt mind having it here...this what attracts YOUNG folks...like myself. Who could of easily lived in Chicago or Newyork..? But i decided to stay and see if this can work here...hope you understand.

Yep. I don't care much for plastic cities. I was just in New Orleans for a week for a conference... talk about anti-plastic. Even pre-Katrina, New Orleans was a city that had haunted my imagination since I was a child. Except for places around home, Jackson Square is my favorite place in the United States. Whenever I get back down there, I want to soak up as much of it as I can.

The French Quarter is dingy, dusty, dirty, and HAS to be one of the smelliest famous places in the country. But I couldn't get enough of it... I never can. Great fun at night, but during the day, it's a great place to grab a beignet and coffee, poke around the little shops, and meet all kinds of outlaws, artists, and MISFITS.

Detroit is a colder, far less successful version of that. I wondered aloud to colleagues, what if the French had actually beat the British in their interminable 18th and early 19th century wars? Maybe all of our cities would be like Detroit and New Orleans! [[And hundreds of millions of Americans shudder!)
