Fox News and Glenn Beck want the world to believe that all of the people who spoke out against him had no impact on this decision. Don’t buy it. No one ever wants to give the opposition credit for their victories. But as Fredrick Douglass taught us, "power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will." In January 10,000 people joined our demand that Rupert Murdoch end Beck’s tenure on Fox. Today, power has conceded.

Together, everyone who was involved in this effort has shown that we can stand up to bullies, reject scapegoating, and heal our nation by securing real solutions to the pressing problems facing so many Americans.

The opposition didn't get Beck off of Fox. Beck did it to himself. The opposition hates OReilley even more than Beck and he isn't in danger of leaving.

For example, NBC fired Don Imus when groups stated that they boycott and put pressure on the sponsors. The sponsor budged and quite sponsoring the show.

When the major sponsor pulled away from the Don Imus show, NBC pulled the plug.

One right wing nut-case is off the air. Since there are too many more to count still on the airwaves, we wont notice much difference in the bias, so-called reporting any time soon.

As far as Beck is concerned, rumor has it that Fox's #2 shareholder, a Saudi prince, had a hand in his "resignation". However, I wouldn't expect any reporting about this angle because Fox will no doubt, sweep it under the rug.
