Default The History of Detroit Jit [[Documentary)

I know the topic of Detroit Jitting has been brought up a few times in older threads and it seems appropriate to bring it up again. A local artist, Haleem Rasul, has been working on a documentary about a Detroit dance group known as "Tracy McGhee and the Jitterbugs" that pioneered the Jit in the 1970s. Haleem will be having a rough-cut screening this Friday at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. Does anyone have any memories of this group?

    Check out the trailer.

As well as an article on Haleem:

Just FYI, a rough-cut screening of this is happening tonight at the Charles H. Wright Museum at 8pm as part of the Art X Exhibit.
