Charlie Sheen at The Fox tonight

I'm curious to hear the thoughts from people who will be at the show tonight.

My prediction is it will be one of two extremes: A total train-wreck failure or a wild warlock winning success.

Either way, this is the most non-ruin porn/Kwame/GM bankruptcy coverage of something in the city by national media since the Super Bowl.

Just got back from the Sheen show [[stopped for pizza at Nikki's) ... I'll be blogging about the experience tomorrow and will post a link here.

It was surreal. A disjointed show that had some moments of potential, but an aggressive audience that didn't know what it wanted. It booed the show and it booed each other.

This was a Philadelphia Eagle/Phillies crowd. The Fox crowd would have booed Santa tonight. But that's not to excuse a show that felt slapped together and padded with filler.

Sheen and his people needed to manage audience expectations better beforehand, and polish everything. Cut down his opening gonzo homily, dump some of the movies [[especially the pointless '80s student film relic with J. Depp).

There were moments of genuine excitement and joy from the crowd. Show failed to maintain it, and Sheen get a little pissy at times. Some people really liked it and were laughing hard. There were also people booing before the show began, and were there only to heckle. Troll plants by Chuck Lorre?

If this thing doesn't get fixed quick, it will be a mega-disaster.

I guess this is what happens when a millionaire addict has his way, kind of interesting actually. Im just assuming that hes still using. Im curious BShea, did he seem a little out there? Thats a tough call.
I truly wish the guy the best and hope he finds at the least a comfortable medium dealing with his habits, his family, and the media if he cant get clean all the way. Some ppl just have to deal with their addictions as best they can. Just say no is a farce for many.
