Default DETROIT CITY BLUES - a video

That's the title of a video, my first, just uploaded to YouTube. Mostly still photographs around Detroit - people and places. The music sound track, "Blackout Blues", is from Pepper Adams' first album, "Critics' Choice", in 1957. Many Detroiters know that the baritone sax player grew up in Detroit and his legacy was featured at last years' Detroit Jazz Fest. Others in video are Don Mayberry - bass, Eileen Orr - piano, LaMonte Hamilton - tenor sax, Alma Smith - piano and Claude Black - piano in one of the shots w/ Pepper at Bakers'.

Great Job Brazzman! Your pictures evoke the earthiness and the grandeur of Detroit and its people.

And the music lives on and the world takes note of the great contributions the city's jazz players made and are making from Paris to Timbuktu, from Rio to Casablanca.
